Polestar Pilates Mentor & Educator in Training
Pilates Alliance of Australasia Professional Member
Simmone has been practicing Pilates since 2011. Her teaching is driven from a place of creativity, artistic passion and a healthy dose of inspiration from like-minded people. Seeing a need for Pilates in her home town she opened Pilates 44 Studio in 2017. The first fully equipped Pilates Studio in Bathurst NSW.
Teaching comes easily and naturally to Simmone. Her initial interest in Pilates was through pain management, due to a serious horse riding accident, along with aiding in managing ongoing diagnosed panic disorder. She is passionate and result driven and after having amazing positive changes both physically and mentally she wanted to learn more about teaching Pilates. Completing her initial training and certification through the Pilates Institute of Australasia, Simmone then went on to complete the Australian Government recognised Diploma in Comprehensive Pilates Instruction 10828NAT through Polestar Education.
Simmone is highly intuitive with her teaching, noted for showing avenues to clients that allow exploration of movement to self autonomy and self awareness within their own bodies and mind. Her focus is largely around Pilates for Women’s health, specific to perimenopause and menopause as well as breast cancer survivorship. She is big on self awareness, responsibility and autonomy and has a passion for empowering clients. From February 2018 to 2020 Simmone volunteered an hours movement session at Bathurst Seymour Centre every Friday morning. This is something very close to her heart as BSM provided respite and care for own grandparents over 20 years ago. What more perfect way to give back to such an amazing community centre.
Simmone was invited into the Polestar Pilates Education Mentor & Educator Program which will take her knowledge deeper as she offers mentoring to future Pilates teachers - something she is extremely passionate about. Simmone knows the commitment levels it takes to complete Certification through a National Registered Training Organisation while living in a Regional area devoid of access to an accredited Pilates Studio to undertake - apprentice teaching, self mastery and observation hours, all of which go towards making up final assessments, examinations and qualifications to become a Pilates teacher.
