TERMS & CONDITONS

HOW TO GET STARTED

Joining Pilates 44 Studio is by appointment only  and begins with getting to know you and your specific needs. Upon booking in your will be sent our client health history, client details and participation waiver forms. This will need to be filled in and returned to the Studio prior to commencement.

Fitness Assessment and Consultation.

If you are coming into the Studio for the first time with us you will need to book in for an initial consultation and fitness assessment before commencing any of our private and semi private classes. This is not necessary for our small group mat classes.

We work alongside other allied health practitioners and we may refer you to one of these during your consultation as part of your whole-body care. Knowing your specific needs, past and current injury and how your body moves are all building blocks within our unique program design. When you come into our Studio you are not just another number.

TRAVELLING

We are pretty flexible and understand people do travel. We will try to accommodate where we can and if it is practicable. We cannot however 'hold' your place. If you are away for the majority of your term but do not wish to lose your current day and time, you will be required to pay for the whole term as usual and will still be able to take make-up sessions outlined above. Any classes outside of this however will be omitted.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

The below are necessary not just for hygiene but to also protect the equipment from wear and tear.

  • Studio Equipment & Reformer clients will need a reformer mat

  • Mat clients will need to bring a thin yoga mat to lay over the Studio mats.

  • Pilates grip socks (available at the Studio).

  • Water bottle.

WHAT NOT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • Jewellery. Please remove rings and bracelets. These can have sharp little edges that

poke holes in the upholstery of the Studio equipment, which can be costly to repair.

  • Clothing with zippers. See above point.

  • Mobile phones. PLEASE turn them off. Unless it is for an emergency.

  • Smart watches. As with phones PLEASE turn them off or at the least down. It would be

great if during the class clients avoid answering messages as this is very distracting.

  • Illness. If you are sick, then our Studio is not for you at that time. Please stay home and

recover. We work with many immunocompromised people.

  • Fake Tan.  Please do not come in to your session straight after a tanning appointment as the tan gets onto the equipment and stains the upholstery.

  • Please leave shoes under the chairs and not on the Studio floor (shoes = germs).

COMMON COURTESIES

  • Arriving on time not only avoids disruption to the teacher but also the clients that are already participating in the session. Should you be more than 10 minutes late, we ask that you omit that session as a courtesy to your teacher and other clients. Try to factor in travel time to the Studio and parking.

  • If you know that you will be late, notify the studio at least an hour before your class. Remember, we are teaching and therefore not looking at our phone messages.

  • Clients will need to move out of the Studio in a timely manner. We all love a catch up and chat, however with just 15 minutes between classes, your teacher needs to clean, have some water and food and visit the facilities.

  • If you need to leave early, please alert your teacher before the class and make your way out quietly.

SESSION TIMES

Our sessions run on 8 and 10 week session basis with 2 weeks break between. Terms. Current Studio clients will be automatically booked into the following term. Clients cannot book ahead of a term. To secure your day and time in the following term, payment is due within 7 working days of issue of invoice at the end of the running term.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Our Studio is structured around school terms, as many are looking after children and grandchildren, or simply travelling during school holidays. It also gives our teachers some much needed time off throughout the year.
This then means that we are open on public holidays, with the exception of Christmas and New Year.
Everyone has access to make-up missed sessions. If you can't make your class on a public holiday and you advise us no less than 24 hours prior ( on a week day), then a make-up class can be offered to you.

STUDIO ADMINISTRAION HOURS

Studio administrational hours are as follows

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm

We will do our best to respond promptly by way of returning messages or responding to emails. Anything outside of these times will be responded to the following business day.
