Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book in advance? Yes, bookings are required. Because our studio focuses on intimate, small-group supervision, spaces fill up quickly.
Can I claim my sessions on private health insurance? Yes, therapeutic Pilates rebates are available. Our studio features certified practitioners and preferred providers (including Wellfemme Menoconnect partnerships). Please check with your specific private health fund to see what level of coverage you have for exercise or rehabilitation sessions.
I am recovering from an injury or living with chronic pain. Are these sessions suitable? Absolutely. Our semi-private sessions (maximum of 3 clients) and one-on-one private guidance utilise a full suite of traditional Pilates apparatus. Every movement is fully customized and carefully tailored to your rehabilitation goals, pain management, and daily functional movement needs.
Do you offer support for specific life stages, like menopause or pre/post-natal? Yes, women's health is our core focus. We are deeply committed to guiding and empowering women through education and movement as they navigate significant life transitions. Whether you are building core strength, managing joint changes, or entering mid-life, your programming will support your body's changing needs.
Why are semi-private and private Pilates sessions priced higher than standard gym classes? You are paying for specialised clinical expertise. Our studio does not offer "one-size-fits-all" fitness classes. Your sessions are guided by highly qualified practitioners who specialise in injury rehabilitation, pain management and women's health. The supervision is incredibly close. Standard gym classes have 15 to 30 people. Our studio sessions are strictly capped at a maximum of 3 clients (or 1:1). This guarantees that every movement you make is closely supervised, corrected, and safely tailored to your exact physical needs. You get access to a full suite of specialised Pilates equipment. Your programming utilises the complete Pilates apparatus—including the Reformer, Cadillac (Trapeze Table), Wunda Chair, and barrels. This equipment allows us to decompress joints, support injury rehabilitation, and challenge your body in ways standard floor or mat exercises cannot. It is an investment in long-term health. By focusing on functional movement, our targeted sessions help you avoid expensive long-term medical treatments, chronic pain cycles, and injury downtime.
Can you hold a spot for me if I'm away? We cannot hold unpaid spots. As a small business with limited capacity, if you are away for the majority of a 6-week block but want to save your permanent day and time, you will need to pay for the block as usual. You will still be eligible for up to 2 catch-up sessions during that period. Unpaid spaces will be advertised to clients on our waitlist.
What should I wear to class? Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing. This allows your teacher to clearly see your alignment and movement patterns. Please ensure your clothing is free of zippers, studs, or sharp jewellery that could puncture or scratch the upholstery on our apparatus.
What is your cancellation policy? We require 24 hours' notice. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid losing your session credit or incurring a fee.
